About the Event
Kenilworth Chamber of Trade are delighted to announce that Daniel Dalton, Ex MEP and CEO of the British Chamber of Trade for Brussels will be speaking at our exclusive event in May.
Dan will be talking about the state of the EU-UK relations, the recently signed trade agreement with the EU and what it means for Kenilworth businesses both large and small. He will also discuss how trade relationships could develop in the future.
Dan is the Chief Executive of the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium. Previously, Dan was the Conservative MEP for the West Midlands between 2015 and 2019. He was very active on the EU’s internal market committee and focused on breaking down the barriers to trade across Europe, in addition to the Brexit negotiations.
Prior to entering politics, Dan played many matches for Warwickshire County Cricket Club 2nd XI and List A cricket for Warwickshire Cricket board. Afterwards, he worked on the club's and the county board's youth development system. Dan is still a passionate cricket fan.
Dan is a local lad, he grew up in Kenilworth and attended schools in Leamington and Kenilworth. He studied at Coventry and Warwick Universities. In addition to prior experience working in the towns pubs, particularly the old Tut N’Shive (Now the Bear and Ragged Staff) he is still very active in the area having a local business still based in the town.
